We are proud to be a partner of Military Makeover, a television series dedicated to honoring deserving veteran families through meaningful home renovations. Season 45, Episode 5, featuring National Hardware and the big reveal at the Dawson family home, premiered April 23rd @ 7:30 AM EST on Lifetime, and features National Hardware’s collaboration with the show while celebrating our upcoming launch of Builder Series.

Meet the Dawson Family
This season’s renovation centers on the Dawson family in Lake Worth, Florida.
Matthew Dawson is a U.S. Army veteran who enlisted as an Infantryman and rose to the rank of Sergeant. His service included deployments to Iraq (2009–2010) and Afghanistan (2011–2012), where he operated in high-risk combat environments. During his service, Matthew survived a grenade blast that resulted in a traumatic brain injury, shrapnel wounds, and lasting physical and mental health challenges. His dedication and bravery have been recognized with numerous honors, including the Purple Heart and Combat Infantryman Badge.
Today, Matthew works as a foreman at a custom welding and fabrication shop while continuing to manage PTSD, chronic pain, hearing loss, and nerve damage.
Strength at Home
Alongside Matthew is his longtime partner, Christina Jacome. The two have known each other since childhood and have built a life together over the past 12 years. Christina cares for their children and runs a small business creating organic products sold at local markets, all while providing unwavering support for their family.
Together, they are raising two children — Dante (10) and Celestina (2). As a family, the Dawsons enjoy spending time outdoors, fishing, hiking, and making memories together in Florida.
